Basic Youth Worker Skills
Awards Introductory Training
This training provides workers with an understanding of the rationale behind the Awards and how they complement their existing youth work practice. They will gain a working knowledge of the Youth Achievement Awards and Dynamic Youth Awards, enabling them to effectively promote, support and deliver these Awards within their youth clubs or groups. Please note that this training is a requirement for anyone wishing to deliver Youth Achievement Awards with young people and recommended for anyone wishing to deliver Dynamic Youth Awards with young people.
Duration: 6 hours, Number of participants: Min 8 - Max 16
Emergency First Aid Awareness
This interactive session will introduce participants to a variety of skills that will assist them and build confidence to deal with emergency first aid situations.
Duration: 3 hours, Number of participants: Min 8 - Max 16
Emergency First Aid at Work
Delivered by qualified First Aid trainers this session gives young people the confidence to deal with most emergency situations until the arrival of the emergency services.
This is an SCQF Level 6 qualifications with a 3 year certificate.
This session costs £70 per person.
Hi5 and Dynamic Youth Awards TraininG
This training provides workers with an understanding of the rationale behind the Hi5 or DYA and how they complement existing youth work practice. They will gain a working knowledge of the Hi5 or DYA, enabling them to effectively promote, support and deliver the Awards within their youth clubs or groups.
Duration: 3 hours, Number of participants: Min 8 - Max 16
Programme Planning and Evaluation
This interactive session will give participants the skills to know how to design a programme with young people and look at different ways to evaluate the session helping to develop future programmes that are meeting their needs.
